Death of 3-year-old in Lancaster under investigation

An investigation was launched in the death of a three-year-old boy in Lancaster.

On Tuesday around 11 p.m., deputies with the Los Angeles County Sheriffs Department's Lancaster Station responded to the 43400 block of 57th Street West.

When deputies arrive they found the three-year-old with lacerations on his upper torso. He was taken to hospital where he died.

Authorities said a man with an unspecified medical emergency was also taken to the hospital. He’s currently in stable condition.

According to Fox 11, at least two other children were inside the home. They were taken  to the sheriff’s department as a precaution.

Investigators said they’re currently interviewing the mother of the toddler.

No arrests have been made.

A man at the residence was later taken to a hospital in an unknown condition.
