WASHINGTON (KRLD) — White House spokesperson Jen Psaki is reportedly preparing to leave her job as President Joe Biden's press secretary in a matter of months.
Psaki is in talks with MSNBC to join the network after she leaves the White House around May, Axios reported, citing an unnamed source close to the matter.

The report indicates that Psaki will host a show for MSNBC on NBCUniversal's streaming platform, Peacock, and be part of live programming on the cable network.
However, Psaki is not expected to replace the network's top-rated anchor Rachel Maddow, who stepped away from her 9 p.m. show in February to develop other projects, including a movie and a podcast.
Speculation has been swirling for weeks that Psaki would leave the White House for a TV gig, with reports that she was being courted by CNN as well.
In late February, Psaki laughed off a reporter who asked her to confirm that she was looking for a job at CNN or MSNBC.
"I have more than enough on my plate here. And so you can't get rid of me quite yet," Psaki said, according to the New York Post.
In May 2021, Psaki said she only planned to stay in her role at the White House for another year, telling CNN she wanted to spend more time with her family.
"I think it's going to be time for somebody else to have this job in a year from now or about a year from now," she said. "It will be hard, but I also never thought I'd be here, and I also love my kids a lot."
The Axios report notes that Psaki has been in close consultation with the White House counsel's office about her departure, and that she's treading carefully on the ethics and legal aspects of her plans.
