When it comes to L.A. County dealing with the ongoing storm, Supervisor Lindsey Horvath told L.A.’s Morning News the county was and is prepared.

“We have been communicating with all of our cities to make sure that the county and cities are working together,” she said. “All levels of government are in coordination. The governor called me yesterday to let me know, he was supporting us and obviously made the emergency declaration, but we're continuing to move ahead.”

She added that the state of emergency declaration will help make resources “easily accessible” to residents.

“I'm sure a lot of those property owners will be working with the county just like last year we saw in Palos Verdes area [with] some of the homes falling into the ground,” she said.  We need to make sure that we're supporting all of our property owners so they have everything they need from the county and whatever documentation they need for their insurance companies.”

Horvath urged L.A. County residents that if they don’t need to be on the road, they need to stay home.
