The Los Angeles Dodgers celebrated California's “Reopening Day” with a return to full capacity at Dodger Stadium on Tuesday night. The sold-out crowd of 52,078 was the largest group of fans at an American major professional sporting event since the beginning of the pandemic.

It was also Mookie Betts' first game playing at a packed house in LA as a Dodger since the team acquired the right fielder last year.

“Finally playing in front of a full Dodger Stadium and on the right team was definitely something that I’ve been looking forward to, and being able to play a good game was a cherry on top,” said Betts in a post-game interview.

The Dodgers beat the Philadelphia Phillies, 5-3.

The team’s series against the Phillies comes to an end tonight at 7:10 p.m. The first 40,000 fans will receive a Mookie Betts jersey presented by Budweiser.

The Dodgers will return home on June 24 for games against the Chicago Cubs (June 24-27) and San Francisco Giants (June 28-29).

Tickets for all games remain available at Dodgers.com/Tickets.
