Kristen Adele Calhoun is the playwright of Black Cypress Bayou at The Geffen Playhouse February 7-March 17th. She joins me to talk about her inspiration, process, writing it in Ghana during the pandemic, what she hopes audiences will take away from it and how excited she is that the Geffen chose to bring it to their stage.
