A 30-year-old man was fatally stabbed after getting out of a Metro bus in South Los Angeles and police are continuing to search for his assailant Friday.

The stabbing occurred at 2:11 p.m. Tuesday after the victim and the suspect were exiting the bus at a Slauson J Line Park & Ride lot on Slauson Avenue near the Harbor (110) Freeway, when the suspect drew a sharp-edged weapon and stabbed the victim multiple times, a Los Angeles Police Department spokesman told City News Service.

Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics took the man to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

There was no suspect description.
