Man hops counter at Anaheim Cold Stone, robs store with its own knife

ANAHEIM (KNX) — A man hopped the counter at a Cold Stone Creamery Tuesday night in Anaheim and grabbed a knife from the store before threatening a cashier with it and demanding money.

The robbery happened just after 7:40 p.m. at 1570 S. Harbor Boulevard, according to Anaheim police. The man was wearing a blue face mask and a hoodie with a yellow safety vest over it.

Security video captured the man jumping over the counter and then grabbing a knife from a separate counter before approaching the female employee with the knife.

He’s seen speaking to the woman before putting his hand on her shoulder and then what appeared to be him directing her to the cash register.

After taking the cash, the man fled the location in an unknown direction, police said.

Anaheim police described the suspect as a white male, about 6 feet tall, weighing 150-170 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes.
