
EAST LOS ANGELES (CNS) - A person was killed Sunday when a vehicle was driven off the Santa Ana Freeway in East Los Angeles.
The crash occurred when the vehicle went off the southbound freeway at the Garfield Avenue off-ramp onto the surface streets, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The crash occurred about 5:35 a.m., according to a watch commander at the sheriff's East Los Angeles station.
It was unclear if the fatal victim was in the vehicle that left the roadway, or if the person was even in a vehicle or was a pedestrian. Neither were details available about the person's age or gender.
