The heavy storm bearing down on Southern California is expected to arrive in force sometime today.
Orange County already has issued voluntary evacuation orders for people in Silverado Canyon, Williams Canyon and Modjeska Canyon because of the risk of mud slides in burn areas.
OC Fire Captain Paul Holiday tells KNX 1070 News access in and out of the area is tricky.
" We are issuing voluntary evacuation orders at this time hoping that people have prepared and done what they can. Our public works and emergency agencies have been working hard to prepare the areas. So we are advising folks to take advantage now and get their homes secure and ready and then our recommendation would be to evacuate," he says.
An evacuation order has been issued for Mountain Home Village near Yucaipa in the El Dorado Fire burn area.
Cal Fire Captain Richard Cordova tells KNX 1070 News people, who live near the El Dorado and Apple fire burns areas in the Cherry Valley and Beaumont areas, are under evacuation warnings and should be prepared to leave tonight.
He says flooding can start quickly and it only takes a foot of water to sweep away a car.
