Election Day has arrived and voters will be heading out to polling places to cast their ballots in person.
According to ABC 7, officials in Los Angeles County estimate that as of Monday, 1.7 million votes have been cast.
KNX News’ Jon Baird spoke with voters who went to cast their ballot in-person at the L.A. County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk in Norwalk.
“Everyone needs to come out to vote,” one woman said. “I mean, we need to vote. That's so important in the world."

“It's important to vote whether you do it by mail or, but I always like to do it in person,” another woman said.
An employee told Baird they expect to see long lines and that people have to be in line by 8 p.m. to get a chance to vote.
In addition to voting for the next president, residents will also be able to vote on several big issues in the county and state, including the Senate race between Congressman Adam Schiff and former Dodger Steve Garvey, and the L.A. County District Attorney race between incumbent D.A George Gascón and former federal prosecutor Nathan Hochman.

Some measures voters will be able to decide on include Measure G, which would expand the L.A. County Board of Supervisors, and Measure A, which would repel Measure H and increase the sales tax from a quarter-cent to a half-cent for homelessness funding.
