Dina's Dirt for April 19, 2023

People in Tampa were panicking, and it was all because of Taylor Swift – they just didn't know it. Apparently, a lot of people outside the stadium noticed strange lights moving in the sky. Though people thought they were signs of alien life, it turns out the lights were just from Taylor Swift's show, according to TMZ.

New body cam footage has been released showing medics tending to Jeremy Renner after he was crushed by a snowplow back in January.
The video shows Jeremy on the ground surrounded by a pool of blood while emergency responders attempt to stabilize him. At one point, Jeremy's nephew described what his uncle did to save him from the snowplow. Today, Jeremy says he's still in a lot of pain and has lost 20 pounds during his recovery. He even joked about the only good thing that came out of it was that it cleared up his busy schedule, Page Six reports.

The cause of Aaron Carter's death has been revealed as drowning in his bathtub due to the effects of difluoroethane, a flammable gas found in compressed air cans, and alprazolam, a generic form of Xanax, according to his autopsy report. The manner of death was ruled accidental. Aaron was found unresponsive in his bathtub at his home in California on November 5th, 2022 and was pronounced dead at the scene. He had struggled with substance abuse and mental health problems for years. Aaron's mother had previously refused to believe that her son died of an accidental overdose and begged police to do a "real investigation" into his death, USA Today reports.

"Captain America" actor Chris Evans recently admitted that, yes, he has indeed been ghosted by dates, but he said he's "experienced something much worse." He explained to People, "I think I'd prefer being ghosted because you can make up any story you want [but] I've had the slow decline in text responses, and you just know the person is pushing you aside casually." No worries about ghosting or being pushed aside now because Chris and his girlfriend of over a year, Alba Baptista, "are in love and Chris has never been happier."

Bill Maher was talking with Piers Morgan, who was curious as to whether Bill had a chance to get to know Harry and Meghan since they moved to California in 2020. Bill said, "No, no, I don't know them," and he admitted, "I admire Harry for going to Afghanistan - anybody who's had military service I can only criticize so much because I haven't and there's nothing that compares to military service - but they're ridiculous after that. They want it both ways." He further explained, "You can't be, 'these people were so mean to us and poor us, and we don't want all this attention,' and then 'let me write a book about how much we don't want attention.' They just strike me as creatures of that generation, you know. You're just fragile, you know. Take a hint from the Queen, the recently departed. You're complaining about your hard life and you're so privileged. It's just so weird."

He's not the only one who's got a slightly negative opinion of the two. Meghan McCain recently wrote of Meghan Markle not attending King Charles' upcoming coronation, "There are arguably few people on Earth more obsessed with seeing themselves on camera than Meghan. Now, all of a sudden, she doesn't want to be pictured in public, dressed up in one of those ridiculous tiny hats? I'm sorry. I'm not buying it. No one in their right mind believes Hollywood Meghan Markle is passing up a chance to peacock in front of the world to blow up balloons and serve cake in the backyard,"  referring to Meghan and Harry's son Archie's fourth birthday, which is the same day as the coronation, according to OK.

J-Hope of BTS is the second member of the group to start his mandatory military service. Jin was the first to enter the South Korean army last December. The plan is for BTS to get back together in 2025 once all band members have completed their obligation. And yes, J-Hope is already rocking the military buzz cut.

Yet another competitor on "American Idol" has left the show on their own accord. After two contestants dropped out already, actor Malcolm McDowell's son, Beckett McDowell, confirmed on his Instagram, "To all of you wondering, yes I was on @americanidol and I made the top 26. I'm not going to say why I didn't decide to continue in the competition but what I will say is that it was my choice." Paige Anne will take his place. None of Beckett's performances have aired yet.

Jake Gyllenhaal and Jamie Lee Curtis are close family friends (who knew?), she is his godmother after all, and they spent nearly all their time together during COVID.  It turns out Jake and his girlfriend stayed in Jamie's guest house for almost a year during lockdown. Jamie told People she got him to bake, explaining, "He made a lot of sourdough bread, a lot." And now, he still does. Jake said, "I am still eating sourdough. Yes. I haven't stopped. Even though we're out of the pandemic, I am still making sourdough." Good fallback if that whole acting thing doesn't work out in the end.
