Ed Sheeran took the stand yesterday in a trial to decide whether or not his song "Thinking Out Loud" too closely mimics Marvin Gaye's 1973 hit "Let's Get It On." The prosecution claims the "smoking gun" is a 2014 stage performance where Ed sang a live mash-up of the two songs, essentially admitting that he lifted key elements. Ed defended himself saying, "If I'd done what you're accusing me of doing, I'd be an idiot to stand on stage in front of 20,000 people and do that." The 32-year-old musician went on to offer that he has done similar mashups with other songs as well, noting, "It is my belief that most pop songs are built on building blocks that have been freely available for hundreds of years."

Apparently, Priyanka Chopra is such a huge fan of her husband Nick Jonas's music, she never wants to miss a chance to support him. Priyanka recently revealed that Nick delayed an entire Jonas Brothers concert by an hour just so she could be there. Priyanka was at the Los Angeles premiere for her TV series "Citadel," and as soon as she wrapped up, she bolted over to the show. But because she was running behind, Nick ended up holding the Jo Bros show for an hour so his wife wouldn't miss a moment of the concert, according to the Hindustan Times.
Sofia Vergara's ex-fiancé Nick Loeb lost another court battle over the frozen embryos they created and stored, RadarOnline.com reports. A Los Angeles Superior Court judge dismissed Nick's lawsuit against the Beverly Hills fertility clinic and said they're entitled to file a claim to recoup legal costs from him. In 2021, a judge granted Sofia a permanent injunction preventing Nick from bringing the embryos to term without her "explicit written consent" from her.
"1000-Lb Sisters" star Tammy Slaton had been doing so well after losing 300 lbs thanks to a 14-month trip to rehab and bariatric surgery, but she appears to be slipping. OK reports that she was spotted with a McDonalds bag, shopping for Twinkies and chips with her sister Amy Slaton, and vaping even as she held onto her oxygen tank. Bariatric psychologist Dr. Rachel Goldman Ph.D. said of Tammy's behavior, "Obesity is a disease and Tammy needs to manage this for the rest of her life. The bariatric surgery she had is a treatment for obesity, but it's not a cure. Tammy shouldn't wait to get other treatment and needs support as soon as possible. Given the latest images, I'd recommend that Tammy return to her surgical center and follow up with her surgical team."
