Madonna's lawyers are fighting back at the claim that she breached her contract and violated New York state laws by going onstage two hours after the ticket said the show would start. Her lawyers are asking the federal judge to dismiss the case, claiming that having "trouble getting a ride home" or needing "to wake up early the next day for work" are not injuries. But then then may have gone a step too far when they added that no Madonna fan would expect the headline act at a major arena concert to take the stage at the ticketed event time.
Angelina Jolie filed a new lawsuit alleging a "history" of physical abuse by Brad Pitt. It's come out as part of the celebrity couple's fight over the French winery they once owned. Angelina says she tried to sell Brad her stake in the winery but Brad wanted her to sign a non-disclosure agreement saying she wouldn't talk about his alleged abuse. His attorney claimed last year that Angelina is the one who wanted the NDA, not Brad.
Serena Williams stepped away from tennis following her appearance at the US Open in September 2022, but she never officially retired. Yesterday though, she said on "Today" that being away from the game "hasn't been easy." She explained, "It was all good when I was pregnant and now that I'm not anymore I'm like, 'Ohhh I miss it so much!'" She is staying plenty busy as a mother to two kids though.
