Nicolas Cage tells "Entertainment Tonight" that he and his wife, Riko, bonded over flying squirrels. "We met in Japan and I thought she was stunning when I met her. We had a lot in common. She likes animals, too, so I asked her, 'Do you have any pets?' And she said, 'Yes, I have flying squirrels.' She had two sugar gliders ... I thought, 'That's it. This could work out.' "
Looks like Ed Sheeran is getting some more alone time. "The Sun" reports that Ed has been forced to self-quarantine again after coming into contact with COVID, although there's no word on where it happened. Ed had been self-quarantining after returning to the UK from the States, where he appeared on "The Late Late Show with James Corden." He was spotted out earlier this month watching the Britain/Germany Euro Cup game in Wembley's Royal Box, where he was seated near Prince William, Kate and Prince George, and David Beckham. The quarantine has come at a particularly bad time for Ed who is in the middle of promoting his new single, with a source saying he's "just getting on with whatever he can do from home. Ed was last seen in public four days ago, but will now have to self-quarantine for 10 days. So far he has tested negative for COVID.
"Dawson's Creek" fans are probably itching for a revival, but Joshua Jackson isn't. The actor who played Pacey Witter explained to "Variety" why he doesn't want to revisit the characters. "The story was told about a group of people at a time," Joshua explained. "Frankly, you probably could have cut the last two seasons out and just kept it in high school because it's such a particularly beautiful moment — and specific moment — in a bunch of people's lives." Because of that, Jackson doesn't see a reason for a "gritty drama" about Pacey and Joey in their mid-40s and their marriage 20 years later. "I don't know that you service that old story by telling the story of us getting old and gray and wrinkly and going through a midlife crisis together," he added. "I don't think that adds to the original story."
When it comes to Irina Shayk and Kanye West, things aren't as hot and heavy as we originally thought. According to an "Us Weekly," the two aren't speaking as much anymore. "She wants to remain friends and keep communication open, but she's pulling back a bit," the source noted. Even though she likes Kanye, she "isn't ready for so many public appearances together all over the [world] for the coming months."
Snoop Dogg has suffered another livestream mishap. As you may recall, the rapper left his Twitch stream on for over seven hours after rage-quitting a Madden 21 game back in March. Yesterday, he hopped back on Twitch for some Madden 21, but left his stream on mute without realizing. The thing is, he had the chat on emote-only mode, which meant fans watching him couldn't let him know the audio wasn't on. After over an hour, he ended the stream – but it's unclear if he ever realized he was on mute the whole time.

"Yahoo News" says rapper Cardi B recently bought a $150,000 necklace for her three-year-old daughter, Kulture. Kulture's birthday party also included a horse-drawn carriage, a professional party greeter dressed as a Disney princess and a fairytale-themed cake. Cardi defended her lavish spending by posting: ''Yes why not ? Princess parties, unlimited toys, vacations and Pools my kid loves the pool and I went to the pool like 5 times in my childhood. Different flavor cereal not just Raisin Bran."
We heard the rumors that Jerry O'Connell was in talks to replace Sharon Osbourne on "The Talk." Now, it's official. He's the CBS talk show's first full-time male co-host, making his debut as a full-time member of the panel on yesterday's episode after doing "some serious training" with several guest host spots in the last year. "You ladies have been so welcoming to me," he said. "I came here as a guest months ago, and just from the moment I walked in, you're just gracious, kind, fun and it worked. We're going to have a lot of fun."
Meanwhile, we're learning more about Osbourne's controversial exit. "Daily Mail" has shared leaked audio of co-host Elaine Welteroth consoling Osbourne after the explosive on-air conversation about racism that led to her exit. Welteroth not only ensures her co-host that she's "not a racist"... but also backs up what Osbourne has said about the conversation being a "set-up." Welteroth said producers "made" Sheryl Underwood ask about the racism controversy surrounding Osbourne's pal Piers Morgan and Meghan Markle. Welteroth says she only sat there silently during the on-air confrontation because she figured Osbourne and Underwood had already talked about it backstage… only to realize it had been sprung on them last minute.
Another dramatic hearing in Britney Spears' conservatorship took place in Los Angeles yesterday. The good news is the judge in the case ruled that Britney could hire lawyer Mathew Rosengart of Greenberg Traurig, to represent her in her attempt to get her father Jamie removed as her conservator. "This is not working. We know that," Rosengart argued. "The goal is to end the conservatorship. We have questions if this was even the proper forum back in 2008." He added that if Jamie "loves his daughter, it is time to step aside and move on so she can have her life back." Jamie's lawyers refused, noting, "There is no basis for him stepping down … There is a path forward without all the hysteria." They also continued to argue that Britney's personal conservator Jodi Montgomery is to blame for all the things Britney is complaining about, not him, although Britney says she's okay with Montgomery staying on. "TMZ" has all the details.

Adele is creating quite a Los Angeles compound for herself. "The Mail" reports the singer has just purchased a third home in Beverly Hills, right next to the two others she owns. All three homes are in the exclusive Hidden Hills area of Los Angeles, where other big-name stars, including Jennifer Lawrence, Cameron Diaz and Benji Madden, and Nicole Richie and Joel Madden own homes. Adele's latest purchase is a four-bedroom, four-bathroom property with pool and basketball court, which she purchased for $9,950,000.
Britney once again addressed the court for her conservatorship hearing yesterday in LA, this time by phone, breaking down in tears as she insisted she wanted her father not only immediately removed as conservator, but charged with conservator abuse. According to "TMZ," Britney did ramble a bit about all bad things she's experienced under the conservatorship, insisting "they" took away her coffee, her car keys when she got a ticket, and even her hair vitamins. She added that Jamie and others involved with the conservatorship have threatened her, noting, "There should be no threats to me at all, ever. I have serious abandonment issues."
Jennette McCurdy will not be appearing in the "iCarly" reboot, but she does have her own podcast called "Empty Inside" and on her newest episode she opened up about her feelings of jealousy before she quit acting. While she was shooting the spinoff show "Sam & Cat," her co-star Ariana Grande's music career started taking off and she started comparing herself to the pop star. "She would have to miss work because she was pulled in all directions. She's gotta do the radio shows, Billboard Awards, [and] I'm, like, acting on this show with a box because they decided for that week her character had to be trapped in a box so she can go perform at the Grammys." But McCurdy told her guest Mike Birbiglia that his movie "My Girlfriend's Boyfriend" was something that helped her get past the negative feelings and made her realize "I didn't even want to do music, like pop star things, so I don't know why I was comparing myself to that person."
It looks like Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's celeb pals are in their corner when it comes to their tension with the Royal family. Priyanka Chopra seemed to give Kate Middleton and Prince William the cold shoulder at Wimbledon this past weekend. In a video clip from "The Daily Mail," the actress doesn't seem impressed when Kate and Will enter the VIP box to watch the Women's Singles Final. She was just a few rows behind them, and opted not to clap with the rest of the crowd or greet the couple.
