Ryan Reynolds was at yesterday's taping of "The View," but as an audience member, not as a guest of the show. Whoopi Goldberg was the firsrt to notice him about halfway through the show, and she said, "Sometimes you look up and you go, 'Oh, this is really great.' And then you look over and you go, 'Oh snap, there's Ryan Reynolds!'" When he was asked why he there, he said, "This is way less stressful than up there" but added, "My mom is here visiting her grandkids. And yesterday she said, 'It's my dream to go to 'The View.'" Aww, what a good son!
Dakota Fanning said that Tom Cruise got her a cell phone for her 11th birthday while they were working on the set of their 2005 film, "War of the Worlds," but then every year after that, he's given her a new pair of shoes for her birthdays. She said it's because while they did the press tour for the movie, "I started to be able to fit into really small adult shoes when I was on the 'War of the Worlds' press tour so I was very excited about them," and she's always loved shoes since she was little. She's 30 now, so that's almost 20 years-worth of shoes from Tom!
You think you're a Switie? Steve Carell reveals that he's been a fan of Taylor Swift since years ago when they met on MTV's Total Request Live. He said they were both very early on in their careers, and their meeting was brief, but he remembers thinking that "she seems special," and that she was "very sweet, very nice, just had a really nice first impression."
Martin Lawrence and Will Smith were promoting "Bad Boys: Ride or Die" and they were asked which show was better between Will's show, "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" and Martin's show, "Martin." Will said, "It wasn't even a competition. Martin was hands down funnier than me. I used to study this dude in pure jealousy at the level of comedic genius that he could portray." He continued, "I'm an actor that needs a script. Martin, you can just roll and say, 'Go' and just let it rip and make it up and different takes and all of that."
Lacey Chabert and Brennan Elliott will reunite for the 10th time, for a Hallmark original movie later this year, "His & Her." "His & Her" follows a married couple of high-powered lawyers at two separate law firms who go up against each other in the messy divorce of two reality TV stars. Lacie said it's "a chance to reunite with my dear friend, Brennan Elliot" while Brennan commented, "I have been so blessed and lucky to have been able to star in 10 films with Lacey Chabert." Even their comments about each other are so "Hallmark sweet" it makes the honeybees sick. But who doesn't love the Hallmark love?
