It was all about Kim Kardashian at the 2022 Met Gala thanks to her channeling of Marilyn Monroe. Kim wore the exact dress Marilyn wore to serenade President John F. Kennedy with "Happy Birthday" in 1962. According to Vogue, the dress has 6,000 crystals. It wasn't easy making this happen. Kim told Vogue she first had to go through Ripley's Believe It or Not Museum for permission since they own the gown. Kim said, "The dress was transported by guards, and I had to wear gloves to try it on," She had to first tried on a replica, which fit perfectly, but when the original dress got to her, it didn't quite fit. She said, "When it didn't fit me I wanted to cry because it can't be altered at all." Kim ended up losing 16 lbs. to fit into the gown, explaining, "I would wear a sauna suit twice a day, run on the treadmill, completely cut out all sugar and all carbs, and just eat the cleanest veggies and protein. I didn't starve myself, but I was so strict." And the commitment didn't end there – Kim went platinum-blonde to emulate Marilyn, saying it took "14 hours straight" to dye her hair. Kim only wore the dress on the red carpet, by the way, trading it for a replica once she went inside, explaining, "I'm extremely respectful to the dress and what it means to American history. I would never want to sit in it or eat in it or have any risk of any damage to it, and I won't be wearing the kind of body makeup I usually do. Everything had to be specifically timed and I had to practice walking up the stairs." She did look like she was struggling mightily getting up the stairs and even just walking in a straight line.

They're urging Fox and MGK to "take precautions" before sharing blood, like testing the blood for diseases and suggesting that medical experts should be the ones who do the bloodletting, according to Elite Daily.
"Dirty Dancing" star Jennifer Grey has an upcoming memoir, "Out of the Corner" and in it, she talks about her brief relationship with Johnny Depp. We thought they had a great relationship, but according to Jennifer, Johnny was "crazy jealous and paranoid" and had an "ill temper." The two, who had been set up on a blind date by her agent, got along great at first, and Jennifer said within two weeks of meeting, Johnny had proposed to her. Then things turned. She wrote, "Johnny was commuting every week back and forth from Vancouver, but had begun more and more regularly to be getting into trouble: fights in bars, skirmishes with cops. He'd started missing his flights home to L.A. having overslept or, when he did come home, he'd be crazy jealous and paranoid about what I'd been up to while he was gone. I attributed his ill temper and unhappiness to him feeling miserable and powerless to get off 21 Jump Street." Read more with Glamour. Could this information be used against him in he court case?

Director Jason Lin abruptly left "Fast 10" last week, walking away from an estimated $10 to $20 million payday. His exit was reportedly "amicable" and because of "creative differences," but sources say that Jason got fed up with Vin Diesel's unprofessional behavior. On on-set insider said, "Diesel shows up late to the set. He doesn't know his lines. And he shows up out of shape. The search for a new director could be costing Universal anywhere from $600,000 to a million a day in pay to keep key crew and cast members in limbo. At this point, neither Jason's spokesperson nor Vin's rep have a comment, according to New York Daily News.

According to TMZ, Jared was one of four people in a Tesla that jumped over a concrete retaining wall after going too fast and smashing head-first into a utility pole before spinning off. A Los Angeles jury found that Kim and Khloé Kardashian as well as Kris and Kylie Jenner did not unjustly harm Blac Chyna's career. Blac Chyna claimed they had destroyed her TV career after she broke up with Rob Kardashian. The two starred in "Rob & Chyna" for one season, and she accused the reality stars of derailing a second season. The thing is, it's not about whether her career was harmed but more about the opportunity they took away from her to gain more fame and more money. It seemed to me like it should have swayed the other way, but I wasn't in the courtroom. And I wonder if the KarJenners had a lot of fans on the jury.
Lady Gaga shared backstage photos of her hugging and kissing Tom Cruise – on the cheek – but that was enough to turn on the angry switch in her fans. Under the pics, Lady Gaga wrote, "Thank you for coming to the show last night. I love you my friend @tomcruise." Btw, Lady Gaga is also singing the lead song on the upcoming "Top Gun: Maverick" soundtrack. Anyway, people blasted her for hanging out with a notorious Scientologist saying they were "disappointed with @ladygaga" and have "lots of questions now about what she stands for."

On her talk show, Drew Barrymore spoke about the Johnny Depp defamation lawsuit against Amber Heard, saying, "It's like one layer of crazy, it's a seven-layer dip of insanity. I know that these are two people's real lives, and I know what it's like to have your life put out in public. I understand all the feelings, but they are actually offering up this information that nobody had to know. This is crazy!" The comment got a lot of backlash from viewers, and Drew responded to it in a video post, apologizing and calling it "a teachable moment for me and how I move forward and how I conduct myself" adding, "I can be a more thoughtful and better person moving forward…I will grow and change from it." Had this been Jimmy Kimmel, James Corden, or Trevor Noah saying it, nobody would have had a problem with it. She's entitled to her words and opinions despite the new depth of sensitivity in this world.
Over the weekend, news broke about country singer Naomi Judd's shocking death at 76, just a day before being inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame. Now, sources are telling People magazine that she died by suicide, taking her life after a long battle with mental health. Her daughters Ashley and Wynonna hadn't gone into details when they shared the news, "We lost our beautiful mother to the disease of mental illness." Naomi had long suffered with mental health and has shared her struggles publicly, even detailing one time she contemplated taking her life in 2013. She told People magazine at the time, "Nobody can understand it unless you've been there. Think of your very worst day of your whole life — someone passed away, you lost your job, you found out you were being betrayed, that your child had a rare disease — you can take all of those at once and put them together and that's what depression feels like."
Jimmy Kimmel cancelled his show last night after his daughter brought home COVID. In a tweet he shared, "Our daughter brought us covid (even though we specifically asked her not to) All feeling fine, I am double vaxxed and boosted but the show must not go on. Apologies to @TomCruise & @iliza and thanks to Mike Birbiglia @birbiga who'll be filling in for me starting tomorrow night."
Katy Perry's recent wardrobe malfunction landed her right on her tail – literally. Katy took a spill on last night's episode of "American Idol," according to USA Today. The episode was Disney-themed, and Katy was dressed up as Ariel from the "The Little Mermaid" when she fell right out of her chair. Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan both helped her up and back into her chair, and not a hair was out of place, mostly because it was shellacked beyond belief. Somebody should have told her mermaids can't walk or sit proper without legs or, what do you call 'em? Oh, feet.
