Coldplay have spent the last two decades trying to nail a James Bond theme. Chris Martin has told "NME" that the band is sitting on five unreleased Bond movie themes that he admits weren't "very good." Despite working so hard on theme songs for five movies, Chris says they never ended up sending them. He doesn't even think Daniel Craig would like the tunes. "I don't know if we're spiritually on the same trip as James. As much as I like the films, I don't know if us singing would do it for him," he notes. "He'd be like, 'That's not what I'm into at all, fellas. I like guns and s---. All this hippie stuff just isn't going to work.'"

"Halloween Kills" scared its way to the top at the domestic box office this weekend. According to "Variety," the horror flick starring Jamie Lee Curtis made $50-point-four-million for its debut. That's the highest-grossing opening weekend for a movie with a same-day streaming service premiere – Peacock, in this case. That means "Halloween Kills" beats the record previously set by "Godzilla vs Kong," which had made $31-point-six-million despite also premiering on HBO Max. "The Last Duel" was a flop. The theater-exclusive debut and all-star cast didn't do much for the film starring Adam Driver, Jodie Comber, Matt Damon and Ben Affleck… debuting in fifth place with $4-point-eight-million. As for the rest of the list, "No Time To Die" dropped 56-percent in earnings for its second weekend out, making another $24-point-three-million. The top five is rounded out by "Venom: Let There Be Carnage" in the third spot, and "The Addams Family 2" in fourth.

In less than a year, Travis Barker got a ring on Kourtney Kardashian's finger. She made the announcement official herself with an image of her being embraced on the beach by Barker… at sunset… surrounded by thousands of roses and candlelight. Her caption? One word: "Forever." The Blink-182 drummer got down on one knee beachside at the Rosewood Miramar hotel and she said yes! They had just gotten back from a fun trip to NYC and hit up the Rosewood in Montecito, their usual spot. So a source tells "E! News" Kourtney "had no idea" he was planning to propose. Travis recruited the Kardashian fam's florist Jeff Leatham to set up huge floral arrangements on the beach lined with candles, leading Kourtney to the center where he "professed his love to her and thanked her for making him a better person." "It was super emotional and sentimental. Kourtney was so happy and was definitely emotional," the insider says. "She teared up and couldn't stop saying, 'I love you.'" The Kardashian-Jenners were there for the special moment. The source says Kris Jenner, Khloe Kardashian, Kim Kardashian, Corey Gamble and more were in on the surprise proposal. Plus, Kim has shared a video of Kourtney and Travis kissing on Twitter, showing off Kourtney's huge diamond ring and writing, "KRAVIS FOREVER" with a ring emoji.

The actor has announced that he's taking a break from acting after finishing his holiday film with Will Ferrell, "Spirited," which he called very "challenging." Reynolds notes that it's only a "sabbatical," so we'll be seeing him on the big screen again soon enough. While he'll "miss every second" of working on movies, he's ready for some quality time with wife Blake Lively and their three kids. In the comments of Reynolds' sabbatical announcement, Lively jokes, "Michael Caine did it first." (A rumor that Caine has denied on Twitter, but still a solid dig on her hubby!)

After being treated at a local hospital, a source tells "People" that the actress is "going to be fine" and will be going home soon, if she's not home already. The case is still under investigation, but so far no arrests or citations have been made, and there reportedly weren't drugs or alcohol involved. "She's the only one bringing in money right now…" Sutter jokes on Instagram alongside a screenshot of a report about the incident. "So I'll be picking her up from the hospital later, taking her to that Dancing With the Stars audition. #fingerscrossed."

We told you about Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker getting engaged, but things almost didn't go according to plan on Kourtney and Travis' way to New York City. Travis is nervous enough on flights, only overcoming his fear of flying now since he's dated Kourtney, but things got extra stressful during takeoff on his flight to NYC when he dropped his phone between their business-class seats. A source tells "Page Six" that Kourtney was "frantically searching" for the phone, asking the attendants for "five more minutes." One insider says she caused a bit of a stink over the phone and held people up for hours, while another insists it only took a few minutes to take apart the seat and find the phone.

Britney Spears is starting to get more freedom, and she admits it's making her a little nervous. "I'll just be honest and say I've waited so long to be free from the situation I'm in … and now that it's here I'm scared to do anything because I'm afraid I'll make a mistake," she writes on Instagram, next to a photo of a Christmas tree.  "I worked so hard but now that it's here and getting closer and closer to ending I'm very happy but there's a lot of things that scare me." Speaking to "People" at the Environmental Media Association Awards on Saturday, the actress said she 'loved" spending quality time at home with her during quarantine. She said spending extra time at home with Scott – along with her two kids with ex-husband Jacob Pechenik, Charlie Wolf and Elsie Otter – strengthened their relationship. But only with some boundaries, like scheduling "trampoline time and movie time. "Scott feels the same way, saying he's "stuck with someone who I'm madly in love with who's an amazing chef," calling her risotto cake "to die for." "I discovered having been in other relationships in the past, this was the very first time I noticed that all of the love and effort and the things I was doing were being reciprocated," he added. "And I was like 'what?' So I think I'll hold onto this one."
