"Spy Kids" star Alexa PenaVega talked about her recent mom guilt she experienced after she accidentally severed her 2-year-old son Kingston's finger. She said on her Instagram Story, "While getting the kids ready for bed, I shut Kingston's fingers in the hinge of the bathroom door. His first finger is bruised and a little bloody, but his middle finger took the brunt of it and was severed from the first knuckle near the tip." Unfortunately, they couldn't reattach the piece of his finger, but Alexa said he's doing great, noting, "He'll be more than fine" and pointing out that "the other nine [fingers] are so cute." Jessica Simpson initially sold off the majority of her clothing company to Sequential back in 2015, and now that Sequential has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, Jessica and her mom, Tina, bought their company back, probably for a really good price. The Jessica Simpson brand has been selling well, even throughout the pandemic, according to Footwear News. You can tease her for not knowing Chicken of the Sea is really tuna, but one thing you can't argue is that she's a savvy businesswoman with a billion dollar empire.

Ruby Rose is not holding back when it comes to her feelings about the CW network and how she was fired from "Batwoman." She wrote to her fans, "Dear fans, stop asking if I will return to that awful show. I wouldn't return for any amount of money nor if a gun were to my head...NOR DID I QUIT." She spilled that the network execs demanded she come back to work ten days after undergoing major surgery, accused former CW President Peter Roth of misbehaving with women, and claimed the CW refused to take responsibility for several severe on-set injuries of other crew members, including on a man who allegedly suffered third-degree burns all over his body. She also called out the show-runner, Caroline Dries, of refusing to shut down production in the middle of the pandemic and denying Ruby's injuries happened on set. The CW network has not commented. Dr. Dre and Nicole Young's divorce have been nasty, but Dre was recently dealt a very low blow. It turns out Dr. Dre was being served legal documents on Monday… at the cemetery where he had just buried his grandmother, according to TMZ. The story isn't clear as to whether the server confronted him at the burial site or in the cemetery's parking lot after the burial, but still, that's just tacky. Dr. Dre reportedly refused to take the documents and the server reportedly dropped them on the ground, making it the groundskeeper's problem at this point, I guess.

Jamie Lynn Spears was hurt by the mental health charity "This Is My Brave" turning down donations from the proceeds of her book, Things I Should Have Said, according to People. A source said, "Unfortunately with them backing out, they are essentially saying that one person's mental health struggles are more valid and important than another. They took a clear stand on whose story they thought had more value to them. Seems their actions don't align with their mission of supporting all voices." And just to push it a little more, the source added, "This just reinforces the entire trauma — that her story doesn't matter."
Lori Loughlin will play Abigail Stanton in "When Hope Calls" for the second season, airing on GAC Family later this year. They said in a statement, "Hallmark Channel has not cast Lori Loughlin in any current projects, including 'When Calls the Heart,' nor do we have any plans to cast her in the future," adding that Lori "was cast by GAC Family, a wholly separate cable network not affiliated with Hallmark Channel or Crown Media Family Networks."
