One of the stars of "Friends" has passed away. Matthew Perry was found dead at the age of 54 in his hot tub on Saturday in Los Angeles.
Police reportedly responded to a call from Matthew's assistant after she returned from running an errand for him. No drugs were said to have been found at the scene, and foul play is reportedly not suspected, but the autopsy findings are inconclusive and will take a few weeks pending a toxicology report.
Matthew Perry was known for much more than "Friends," also making a successful jump into film roles like "Fools Rush In" and "The Whole Nine Yards." He was very open about his struggles with addiction throughout his life, talking about it in a memoir released last year. Though he appreciated his time on "Friends," he didn't want that to be what he was remember for. He said, "I would like to be remembered as somebody who lived well, loved well, was a seeker, and his paramount thing is that he wants to help people. That's what I want."
"Friends" creators/executive producers Marta Kaufmann and David Crane talked about casting Matthew Perry in his most famous role, noting, "From the day we heard him embody the role of Chandler Bing, there was no one else for us."
Adele got a huge surprise during her Las Vegas residency over the weekend when she spotted the doctor who delivered her son in the audience. She stopped the show to give him a big hug and announced, "This is my doctor that gave birth to my baby!" Adele also stopped the show that night to pay tribute to the late Matthew Perry, saying that her friend would do an impression of his "Friends" character "Chandler" whenever Adele needed cheering up.
Jack Black may be a Swiftie. Last week, during The "Give Back-ular Spectacular!" charity event in Los Angeles, Jack stripped down to his boxers and sang part of Taylor Swift's "Anti-Hero." The video is all over socials, but just be prepared because once you see it, you can't unsee it.
In a now-deleted Instagram post, Britney Spears said fans should look out for another tell-all book coming next year, saying "Volume 2 will be released next year … get ready!" However, insiders close to Brit say there is no "Volume 2" being worked on.
Kim Kardashian gave her fans a tour of her newly haunted home on social media, showing the amazing and spooky transformation, inside and out. It's an amazing setup, though it's got nothing on Demented FX in Holyoke.
But man, it really makes me wish I had as much disposable income as she does!
