5. Allen Iverson - in a sport of giants, A.I. proved size doesn't matter. The Answer not only single handily carried a franchise to a place it has only been to once since 1983, but the player future NBA superstars idolized, modeling their games, and personality after. 4. Reggie White - The Minister of Defense was the heart and soul of an era of Eagles football that brought back the love of the sport to Philadelphia. The stats speak for themselves. 3. Bobby Clarke - Of all the GOATS of the last 50 years, Clarke is unquestionably the face to represent the Flyers. The franchise leader in points, assists, and games played, Clarke played a style of rugged hockey many wish was the current game showed a glimmer of. Oh, by the way, two stanley cups.2. Mike Schmidt - Not just the greatest third baseman in Phillies history, but top ten in MLB history. To complete the perfect professional, Schmidt connected on 548(most in fran history) home runs, and ushered in an era of Phillies baseball a generation would never forget.1. Nick Foles - Saint Nick's stats don't hold a candle to any all-timer, or even most average starters, but what Foles was able to accomplish in February of 2018 was something no Philadelphian will ever forget. The single greatest performance by any philly athlete, ever, on the biggest stage in the world. While the Phillies, Sixers, & Flyers all hold a special place in our heart, Philadelphia is a football town first, and what Nick Foles was able to do, is what legends are made of.
