The Buffalo Bills have no plans to release running back LeSean McCoy, according to Adam Schefter.
This is not an indictment of Leroy the dog, just Leroy the reporter. I'm sure he's a good dog --. But Bills are not releasing McCoy today, and have no plans to do so, either. "Absolutely false," said one source when asked about Leroy's report. Good dog, shaky reporter. https://t.co/bBtbeb6sZ2

Schefter's tweet follows a tweet from Leroy, the dog of Barstool Sports' Pardon My Take podcast.
McCoy, 30, is entering the final year of his contract, set to have a base salary of $6.175 million and a cap hit of $9.05 million. By releasing McCoy, the Bills would save $6.425M on their cap.
The Eagles drafted "Shady" in 2009 with the 53rd overall pick and if released, you know the conversation would shift toward the idea of Howie Roseman acquiring his old friend.
McCoy dominated with the Eagles from 2009-2014, rushing for 1,000 or more yards in four out of his six seasons before being shockingly traded by Chip Kelly. McCoy is the Eagles' all-time leading rusher with 6,792 yards.
This offseason the Eagles have already signed McCoy's former teammate in Philadelphia, DeSean Jackson to give Carson Wentz some more speed on offense. They also acquired running back Jordan Howard via trade and drafted running back Miles Sanders out of Penn State in the second round, ironically the earliest the franchise has selected a rusher since McCoy.
Even if released in the near future, the Eagles may even want to bring back a 30-year-old declining running back. McCoy rushed for just 514 yards in 13 games last season and has continuously dealt with nagging injuries.
