Herrera was arrested in late May after a report of a domestic violence incident. Herrera's gilfriend reportedly denied to press charges.

Herrera had been placed on administrative leave by Major League Baseball.

Herrera, 27, has club options for the next two seasons. He's currently in the third year of his five-year, $30 million contract.

On the field, Herrera had been struggling. Over the last 22 games, Herrera was hitting just .175/.257/.302 with no homers and nine RBI in 70 plate appearances. For the season, Herrera is hitting just .222.

Now, the Phillies have to make a decision on Herrera.
