Simmons was kicked out of practice on Tuesday by head coach Doc Rivers.

“I just thought he was a distraction today, he didn’t want to do what everyone else is doing," Rivers told the media after practice ended.

Joel Embiid addressed the media as well and said he has not spoken with Simmons since he returned to the team, adding "At the end of the day, our job is not to babysit somebody."

Simmons was expected to address the media following Tuesday's practice for the first time since the team's eliminating loss against the Hawks, but that has been subsequently canceled.

Throughout the offseason, Simmons was quietly working out in Los Angeles while reports circulated that he was demanding a trade and did not want to play another game for the 76ers. However, last week, Simmons showed up the Sixers' practice facility and re-joined the team.
