The Philadelphia 76ers are finalizing a three-year deal with P.J. Tucker worth $33.2 million fully guaranteed, according to Shams Charania.
The 37-year-old Tucker spent last season with the Miami Heat and helped the Milwaukee Bucks win an NBA title in 2020-21.
Tucker averaged 7.6 points while shooting 41% on 2.7 threes per game last season. He shot 43% from three white averaging 8.2 points in the Heat’s six-game playoff win over the Sixers.
In the summer of 2017, Morey—who was the Rockets GM at the time—brought Tucker to Houston where he thrived. So the now Sixers president of basketball operations is likely a fan of Tucker.
Morey also acquired his former 2018 Houston Rockets second round pick in De'Anthony Melton and is reportedly interested in Rockets guard Eric Gordon.
