Darius Slay had high praise for Eagles' rookie defensive tackle Jalen Carter on the latest episode of his Big Play Slay YouTube show.
"I’ve been around a great group of guys who play the d-tackle, man, and I’m trying to tell you here, Jalen Carter, this kid is just very, very dominant, man," Slay said. "He's very physical, quicker than what you think, and stronger than how he look. He look like a baby rhino...he crazy. He pushing fools back.
"You can ask Lane Johnson. Lane Johnson said it himself—one of the best tackles in the game—said this guy is ready to play right now and ready to take control of the game right now. This guy is a game changer."
The Eagles selected the 22-year-old with the ninth overall pick in this year's draft. Carter only fell to No. 9 because of his involvement in a deadly car crash on January 15th, 2023.
