Eagles advisor wanted no part of Howie Roseman's celebration of draft pick

The Philadelphia Eagles traded down to the 73rd pick in the third round on Friday to select defensive tackle Milton Williams out of Louisiana Tech.

But not everyone within the organization was on board with the pick.

Cameras showed Eagles GM Howie Roseman celebrating the pick with his fellow scouts and executives, giving everyone fist bumps, but one executive wasn’t feeling it.

As Roseman approached Eagles senior football advisor Tom Donahoe, he gave the general manager a half-hearted fist bump and it seemed like Roseman was lucky to get anything from him at all.

Donahoe was clearly agitated following the pick and Roseman appeared to be confused as to why he was not as happy as everyone else.

Because the cameras caught this, fans immediately began having fun at Roseman’s expense.

But there seemed to be a pretty reasonable explanation to all of this.

When Roseman met with the media about the pick, he explained that sometimes scouts become attached to certain prospects and don’t always get the guy they’ve been spending so much time evaluating.

It’s just all part of the emotions of the draft. Unfortunately for the Roseman and the Eagles, who are under a close microscope as it is, it was all caught on camera.
