Angelo Cataldi after first interview with Landon Dickerson: 'I am in love'

Angelo Cataldi was completely enamored by Eagles' second round pick Landon Dickerson after his first conversation with the 22-year-old versatile offensive lineman.

Dickerson awed Cataldi and the 94WIP Morning Show with his thoughtful and intelligent comments on everything from rock, paper, scissors to his injury history.

Speaking of his injury history, throughout his collegiate career at Florida State and Alabama, Dickerson has dealt with multiple serious injuries, including right knee ligament damage which forced him to have surgery last season. He says he's actually fortunate he's been able to experience his hardships and learn from them.

"Injuries give you a chance and they're a learning experience in my opinion," Dickerson told Cataldi. "They're in the past and you can't change that. My mindset is, let's learn from that and move on and see what we can do next time. For me, it kind of sounds bad, but I feel thankful for them. These injuries have taught me a lot about who I am as a player, mentally and physically, and what I need to do to take care of my body and go about it so that I can take care of myself and act like a professional when it comes to football."

Cataldi asked if Dickerson feels confidently he can remain healthy throughout his NFL career.

"I feel good about how I take care of myself moving forward," Dickerson said. "I know what I need to do lifting wise, diet wise, rehab wise to keep my body feeling good throughout the season. Football is a weird sport, things happen that you can't control. From my end I feel like I am taking all of the necessary steps to take care of my body."
