Miles Sanders still believes the 0-2-1 Philadelphia Eagles are a "great" team.
"We're a great team," Sanders told Joe DeCamara and Jon Ritchie during his weekly Monday 1pm call-in. "I think we're a really, really good team honestly. We have all of the pieces to be a good team, we're just not playing very smart football right now. That's really all I can say. We just have to do better, everybody, including myself."
Sanders, who missed Week 1 with a hamstring injury, had 18 carries for 95 yards on Sunday. Doug Pederson mentioned fatigue when asked about Sanders' workload on Monday afternoon, but Sanders says he feels good.
"No, it's just getting ready for — keep practicing every day working to back into football shape," Sanders said.
"I feel good. I'm still going, playing, I want to be out there for the team. Going to get better, you know."
Sanders is ready to take on a bigger workload.
"As many times as they want to feed me," Sanders said when asked how many times he thinks he could carry the ball. "I'm ready for that. As many times as they want to feed me."
