"As I watched the futility of this game, I just started thinking it might be time for the Seahawks to think of alternatives to Wilson, particularly if he gets mopey again next offseason," King wrote.

"I just wonder if an 8-9 season might make Seattle GM John Schneider and coach Pete Carroll wonder if rewriting the script and getting three first-round picks and maybe one top player from a Carolina or Denver or Pittsburgh or Miami or Philadelphia is smarter than trying to keep Wilson happy."

On Sunday, Wilson returned from his first career injury and time off with one of his worst career performances, completing just 20 of 40 passes for 161 yards, 0 TDs, and 2 INTs in a 17-0 loss to the Packers.

However, on the flip side, Jalen Hurts led the Eagles to their most impressive win this season, a dominating 30-13 road win over the Broncos where Hurts completed 16 of 23 passes for 178 yards, 2 TDs, 1 INT while rushing for another 53 yards on the ground.

Earlier this month, ESPN's Chris Mortensen mentioned the Philadelphia Eagles, specifically, when talking about a possible new team for Wilson.

"The Philadelphia Eagles have a cache of first round draft picks and there's no question in my mind Russell Wilson is on the top of their list," Mort said on November 3rd in a podcast with Adam Schefter.

"I know Jalen and I hope is he the guy, but so far they're not convinced," Mortensen said of Hurts.

The Eagles, of course, wanted Wilson and almost took him in the second round of that 2012 NFL Draft with Howie Roseman in the front office and Andy Reid as the head coach. Daniel Jeremiah reported awhile back that the Eagles were ready to take Wilson with their 88th pick that year, but Seattle snagged him at No. 75 in the third round. Philadelphia took Nick Foles instead.

The Eagles are now 4-6 and face the Saints, Jets, Giants twice, and WFT twice over their next six games, setting up a possible run at the postseason.
