Eagles head coach Doug Pederson is expected to return in 2021, according to a report from ESPN.
Pederson is expected to meet with Jeffrey Lurie this upcoming Tuesday. It is likely that outside of Pederson's own job status, the duo -- along with Howie Roseman -- will discuss the coaching staff and play calling.
Assuming there is not a blow up in the meeting, and the three come to an agreement on the next steps, Pederson will be back in 2021 for his sixth season with the team.
Pederson reportedly coming back is not overly surprising, but it is the answer to a major question that has been asked throughout this terrible 2020 season. The Eagles' offense has been in the bottom-half of the league the last two season and has not looked anything close to the 2017 version since the Super Bowl.
With Pederson back the next question is what the team will be doing at quarterback -- at with Pederson back, the chances of Wentz being back likely have gone down.
