The Philadelphia Eagles are 1-3 and a storyline that is picking up steam is, 'Where is Fletcher Cox?'

The Eagles' 30-year-old six-time Pro Bowl and three-time All-Pro defensive tackle has just five total tackles, zero sacks, and zero QB hits in four games this season.

For the second straight week, Angelo Cataldi asked Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni about Cox's lack of statical production.

"We've talked about this before, he's getting a lot of the attention, which is allowing Javon [Hargrave] to do what he is doing. I think Javon is second in the league in sacks right now. So, [Cox] is getting a lot of the attention because of who he is and the way he plays and if you ask any of the d-lineman they're going to say the same thing.

"That's been my experience with d-lineman and wide receivers. They kind of go hand in hand in the sense that, you can go quiet for a couple of weeks and then all of the sudden boom, you have a big game because the other team says he's not making the plays anymore or all of the attention is going to the other guy. Boom, then you have an explosive game. I think that all comes with time, but the things that he's doing is benefitting the team but it's not showing up on the stat sheet."

In fairness, as pointed out by Sirianni, Hargrave has been excellent this season totaling 24 tackles, 5.0 sacks, and 7 QB hits in four games.

PhillyVoice.com's Jimmy Kempski actually pointed out that Cox saw 29 to 17 single to double coverage in Sunday's 42-30 loss to the Chiefs.

ESPN's Tim McManus explained that Cox is actually saw double teams on over 70% of his pass rushes vs. the Chiefs, his highest rate since Week 13 of 2020.

On Tuesday, Brandon Lee Gowton tweeted that Cox's PFF grade is down, as well.

Cox is currently playing on a six-year, $102 million contract.
