Flyers goaltender Dan Vladar exited Tuesday’s preseason game against the Boston Bruins after giving up an early goal.
Vladar allowed a goal to the Bruins, giving them a 1-0 lead, before skating to the bench and being replaced by Aleksei Kolosov.
The Flyers announced Vladar was dealing with an upper-body injury and was ruled out for the night.
In a sequence, Vladar lost his stick, tried to grab it, allowed a goal, and then left the game 6:29 into the first period.
The 29-year-old faced seven shots and stopped six.
Wednesday marked the first game of the 2026-27 preseason in which Vladar appeared. He played 13:31 total minutes and posted an .857 save percentage.
Vladar was crucial to the Flyers' postseason push last year, helping them advance to the playoffs for the first time since 2020.
This offseason, the Flyers signed Vladar to a five-year contract extension worth $27.5 million.
