PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — The Philadelphia Flyers have released their 2021-22 schedule with the Vancouver Canucks coming to town for opening night, the first full-capacity game at the Wells Fargo Center in more than a year and a half.

The Flyers will host the Canucks in the season opener on Friday, October 15. The expansion Seattle Kraken is Philadelphia's next opponent, with the Center hosting on Monday, October 18. The Boston Bruins and Florida Panthers will wrap up the team's first homestand with other games that week.

The team's first road trip will come October 27-30, with games in Edmonton, Vancouver and Calgary.

The Flyers will host the Stanley Cup champion Tampa Bay Lightning on Thursday, November 18 and Sunday, December 5.

Philadelphia will take three weeks off between February 2-22, concurrent with the Olympic Winter Games in Beijing. The regular season will end on Friday, April 29 at home against the Ottawa Senators.

The City of Philadelphia had not allowed 100% capacity crowds at the Wells Fargo Center during the COVID-19 pandemic until June 11, when the Flyers' regular season had already been completed.
