Dr. Mark Schwartz, M.D. is an orthopedic surgeon with Burlington County Orthopedic Specialist in Mount Laurel, New Jersey.
Dr. Schwartz joined Joe DeCamara and Jon Ritchie on Thursday's 94WIP Morning Show to discuss the torn meniscus tear to Phillies catcher J.T. Realmuto.
"I think a four week down time is optimistic, I really do," Dr. Schwartz said. "I think it's an extremely optimistic outlook for a catcher. If he was a different position, I think four weeks would be reasonable and hopeful. But if you're talking to a position where you're going to get back into kneeling, pivoting and squatting."
Dr. Schwartz specializes in sports medicine, arthroscopic surgery and is the Co-Director of Virtua Health Sports Medicine Program.
Dr. Schwartz is also:
- Immediate Past Chief of Orthopedics - Virtua Memorial Hospital in Burlington County
- Immediate Past Chairman of the Department of Surgery – Virtua Memorial Hospital of Burlington County
Dr. Schwartz is selected each year by both South Jersey and Philadelphia Magazine as a top doctor 2016-2024
