Alfred Molina has been confirmed to return as Doctor Octopus in Marvel's upcoming 'Spider-Man' film due out Dec. 17, 2021. He'll be reprising the role he played in 'Spider-Man 2' back in 2004.
This notably fuels the rumor that star Tom Holland could be joined by past Spider-Man actors Andrew Garfield & Tobey Maguire as Doctor Octopus battled Maguire's iteration of the character & we already know Jamie Foxx will return as Electro who battled Garfield's Spider-Man in 2014's 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2'. Benedict Cumberbatch will also be appearing in the film as Doctor Strange.

Just last week Sony Latin America posted then deleted a video that asked fans who their favorite Spider-Man was and that they don't have to choose because "in the Marvel Multiverse - anything can happen."
