"Jeopardy!" has its latest slate of guest hosts and the list includes former "Reading Rainbow" host, LeVar Burton.
The news comes after Burton had endorsed a petition calling for him to get a chance at hosting. It has garnered 250,000 signatures since last November.
Burton expressed his gratitude to the fans who supported this goal and promised to do his best in the role, writing on Twitter, "THANK YOU... to all y'all for your passionate support!"
He continued, "I am overjoyed, excited, and eager to be guest-hosting Jeopardy!...YOU MADE A DIFFERENCE! Go ahead and take my word for it, this time."
Recently, Burton has been transparent about vying for the role of "Jeopardy!" guest host, telling USA Today's "The Mothership" podcast that he feels "as strongly about my rightness for this as I did about Kunta and Geordi. And I'm that invested in getting the job."

Many voiced their support of the idea on social media, including stars Dick Van Dyke and Stephen Colbert.
Other guest hosts who will help close out the show's 37th season include Robin Roberts, George Stephanopoulos, Dave Faber, & Joe Buck.
Filming of these episodes will begin in June and a date for when Burton's will air are to be announced.
