Could this news be any sweeter?
“Friends” fans will be delighted to know that Serendipity Brands is launching a brand-new ice cream inspired by the beloved TV sitcom.
Not only is is coffee-flavored, but the name draws inspiration from the show's iconic coffee shop: “Central Perk Almond Fudge.”
The flavor, which is available in select stores and online now, features “decadent chocolate covered almonds and fudge swirls” that "create a mouthwatering mocha almond fudge ice cream.”
“Friends is a pop culture classic that we couldn’t be more thrilled to create a special flavor for! Our Central Perk Almond Fudge flavor is nostalgia in a pint that makes you feel like you’re with your six best friends indulging in a sweet treat at a coffee shop,” said Sal Pesce, president and COO of Serendipity Brands.
According to the press release, it will be a “permanent fixture” in the lineup.
Serendipity announced the flavor on Instagram, writing: “OH. MY. GAWD. It’s our newest flavor- Central Perk Coffee Almond Fudge. Grab 5 friends, 6 spoons and the nearest over-sized sofa. It’s go time.”
The flavor is a result of a partnership with Warner Bros. Consumer Products, which will add an additional three new flavors throughout the year inspired by “The Goonies,” CaddyShack,” and “A Christmas Story. These will all be “limited-time releases.”
All flavors will retail between $5.99 and $7.99 in supermarkets and other retailers across the U.S.
They’ll also be available for purchase online here.
There’s currently a deal online if you buy six pints, you get the seventh one free.
You may want to stock up on the flavor ahead of the “Friends” reunion, which has been delayed several times due to the coronavirus pandemic.
In November, Perry first announced the special had been rescheduled to tape in March 2021.
