(670 The Score) The Cubs have recalled right-hander Adbert Alzolay from their alternate camp in South Bend, and he'll start the second game of their doubleheader against the Cardinals at Wrigley Field on Wednesday.
Alzolay, 25, compiled a 7.30 ERA in four appearances, including two starts, for the Cubs in 2019, his debut MLB season. He had a 4.41 ERA in 15 starts at Triple-Iowa in 2019.
Cubs right-hander Alec Mills opposes Cardinals ace right-hander Jack Flaherty in the opener, which starts at 1:20 p.m. Both games will be seven-inning contests and can be heard on the 670 The Score airwaves.
