PITTSBURGH, PA (93.7 The Fan) - Governor Tom Wolf made his thoughts known in response to Ben Roethlisberger’s hype video.

In the video, Roethlisberger was clean shaven and had gotten a haircut, very different from his stay-at-home appearance.

“My concern is just a general concern, anybody who puts himself or herself into harm’s way is something that I think we ought to try to avoid and when you go to something like a barbershop and you’re not protected, I don’t care who you are, the chances of that virus actually wreaking havoc on your life increases,” Wolf said in response to the hype video.

Roethlisberger’s barber, Carlos Norman of "Norman’s Cuttin’ Edge Barbershop" in Sewickley, came back with an official response (via his attorney) in defense of himself and his “close personal friend.”

Per the statement, Norman and Roethlisberger are friends and the haircut and shave was done pro bono and labeled a “selfless act” to help someone get “through the ongoing pandemic.”

Norman also stated earlier in the release that his business has been closed since the beginning of the shutdown regulation.
