The Warriors improved to 1-1 on the season with a 122-114 win over the Kings in Sacramento. Stephen Curry scored 16 of his game high 41 in the third quarter as the Warriors played excellent defense from the midpoint of quarter number two until the midpoint of the fourth. Here are some key takeaways from the victory.
Sensational Sacramento Steph
What would Stephen Curry do for an encore after his 50 piece sent the Kings home in the playoffs back in April? The answer, 41 points on 14-for-19 shooting and 7-for-10 from three. He had 34 midway through the third quarter and it looked like another 50 point night was within reach. After the Warriors 18 point lead had been cut to 5, Curry ended the night for the Kings.
Moody and Kuminga
Moses Moody played his second straight solid game off the bench finishing with 10 points with 3 boards and 3 steals in 21 minutes and Jonathan Kuminga was active defensively while grabbing 5 rebounds to go with his 12 points. Kuminga flipped his night after a poor start going from a -14 in the game to a +9 by night's end.
Chris Paul fitting right in as the glue guy
Chris Paul has 18 assists and one turnover in his first two games with the Warriors. He's brought stability to the team offensively and made life easier for the Warriors scorers. CP3 said postgame Golden State's scorers have made life easier on him.
Milwaukee Loon
Kevon Looney crossed over Domantas Sabonis and went in for a dunk which is fondly known as "Milwaukee Loon" as Steve Kerr pointed out in his postgame press conference.
Why "Milwaukee Loon"? Looney grew up and went to high-school in the Milwaukee area and was a very different player way back when than the one we see with the Warriors on a nightly basis. Looney however, does still occasionally show a little of what he still has in the bag.

Road win right away
The Warriors won for the first time away from Chase Center in their first opportunity this season after not winning on the road until November 20 a year ago. Golden State began last 0-8 season on the read en route to an abysmal 11-30 record overall.
