Last year in Alaska, teenager Joseph Tagaban endured nine months of treatment for Acute myeloid leukemia, a form of cancer which affected his blood and bone marrow. Once he recovered, Tagaban returned to his family and his school, where he hit a game-winning shot in his first game back.
So when we think about Klay Thompson’s comeback from ACL and Achilles injuries, it puts it all in perspective.
ESPN recently released a video collaboration with the Make-A-Wish foundation, as Tagaban’s wish was to meet Klay. The Splash Brother treated him to a special day, as they went for a joyride in his convertible, shot some hoops, Klay gave Joseph some gear and an autograph he received from Kobe Bryant as a teenager. Most of all they just spent some good quality time together. Check out the heartwarming feature below.
