Klay Thompson takes part in Moses Moody's Arkansas basketball camp

Steph Curry is releasing documentaries, winning golf titles and joining Drake on stage in a sold-out arena. Draymond Green is stirring up the pot on podcasts.

Meanwhile, Klay Thompson cut off his Greek vacation early so he could go to Moses Moody’s camp in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Moody hosted hundreds of campers this weekend in his hometown and Klay showed love for his Warriors teammate, hooping with the kids and – more importantly – showing them how to properly fold a paper plane.

After the event, Klay shared an Instagram post using the #ProudVet hashtag, a nod to their relationship over the past two-plus seasons in Golden State.

The gesture by Thompson is cool enough, but especially when you consider he was jumping off rocks in Greece just a few days earlier.

It sounds like Moody wasn’t expecting him to come on stage, but the crowd loved it. Kevin McPherson of Hogville.net shared a video from the “Conversation with Moses Moody” event on Friday night.

“I’m gonna turn y’all into Warriors fans,” Klay said.

“We didn’t plan on having Klay coming up here to talk,” Moody said. “We had him where he could just sit here in the back and slide out before it was over, come to the camp tomorrow and be outta here, but he told us that he wanted to come up on stage and talk to y’all. Appreciate you, my brother.”

Moody just turned 21 in May, but remains a wise OG in a young man’s body. Perhaps this type of maturity is the reason why he has been a rare holdover from the Warriors’ wave of young talent – along with fellow 2021 draftee Jonathan Kuminga.

In an offseason full of big trades and big drama, it’s great to see some wholesome news from Moody and Klay.
