Jonathan Kuminga drops 60, teams up with Gary Payton II at The Crawsover Pro-Am

Jonathan Kuminga looked like a man among boys this weekend.

The third-year Warriors wing and teammate Gary Payton II took part in The Crawsover Pro-Am in Seattle organized by former NBA player Jamal Crawford.

The 20-year-old Kuminga spent most of his night with his head at the rim, as he showed off his freakish athleticism en route to 60 points. GP2 got involved by throwing him some alley oops throughout the night as well.

It’s only a Pro-Am against sub-NBA competition, but it’s always fun to see JK flying around the floor and doing his thing.

The Warriors have put a vote of confidence in Kuminga this year, keeping him on the squad while trading away other talented youngsters like James Wiseman, Jordan Poole, Patrick Baldwin Jr. and Ryan Rollins.

Kuminga and Payton figure to be staples of coach Steve Kerr’s rotation this fall when the Warriors start back up again, as training camp is slated to begin on Oct. 2.

We’ve seen Kuminga’s talent flash throughout his two seasons in the league on both sides of the ball, but the explosive forward is expected to take another step forward in being more consistent with his rebounding and effort.
