'The Morning Roast' featured in NBA's Finals Game 2 mini-movie

Warriors fans are witnessing history once again.

For the sixth time in eight years, Golden State has reached the NBA Finals. It figures to be a tense series against the Boston Celtics after the two squads split the first pair of contests in San Francisco.

NBA sends camera crews to capture the vibe of the Finals for their “Chasing History” series and they stopped by the studios of 95.7 The Game at Battery & Broadway before Game 2. Ya boy Bonta Hill, who co-hosts “The Morning Roast” with Joe Shasky, is the first voice you hear on the Game 2 video.

“It’s been a lot of doom and gloom this morning,” Bonta said after the tough Game 1 loss that featured a fourth-quarter collapse. “Lot of people pointing the finger at multiple players. But the Celtics are for real. It’s gonna be a tough grind, a dogfight. Try to beat this team in seven games. Warriors got work to do.”

“If they wanna win, then other guys gotta step up as well,” Shasky said. “How you gonna free up?”

“I don’t know,” Bonta said. “That’s a question for Steve Kerr and company.”

Bonta and The Butcher going big time!

The seven-minute video provides a nice cinematic peelback for the Warriors’ blowout 107-88 victory that evened the series at 1-1.

The NBA also makes a “mini-movie” at the end of every Finals, so be on the lookout for “The Morning Roast” when the series comes back to San Francisco.
