SAN FRANCISCO (95.7 The Game) - Golden State Warriors president and general manager Bob Myers will step down from the franchise effective immediately, according to reports from ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

"It's just time," Myers told Wojnarowski.

Myers will hold an end-of-season press conference at noon Tuesday to formally announce his departure. You can hear the presser live on 95.7 The Game.

Myers had been with the franchise since April of 2011, winning NBA Executive of the year in both 2015 and 2017, and helping Golden State to win four NBA titles.

Myers had been rumored to be considering stepping down for some time now, despite being offered an 'incredibly lucrative' contract earlier this season to remain with the team.

Throughout the past few months, Myers has repeatedly told the press that he doesn’t want to make a decision until it’s necessary.

Now, however, that decision has been made, and the Warriors will be on the hunt for a replacement in the coming weeks before the NBA Draft.
