The Warriors said ‘What up’ to their fans on the other side of the world, right around midnight Wednesday when most Bay Area fans were sleeping.
Golden State clearly has a global appeal, given the expected reactions from the Japanese fans who got a rare up-close look at the reigning champs.

With the 16-hour time difference in Tokyo, the Warriors landed about 4 p.m. local time. After signing autographs and getting a cat figurine from a fan, Jordan Poole went out with his close friend and photographer Jordan Jimenez for some ramen.
The next few days will be a whirlwind, including the two preseason games against the Washington Wizards, but it should be an amazing experience for the squad. The Warriors will tip-off at 3 a.m. PT Friday and 10 p.m. PT Saturday before heading back to the Bay.
