Let’s dig in.

16-year-old contestant Casey Bishop wowed audiences early in the season as Luke Bryan predicted she’ll be “the damn winner of American Idol” after Bishop gave a stunning a cappella version of the Mötley Crüe song “Live Wire.”

Since that time, Bishop has continued to impress Idol judges and fans with her out-of-this-world voice.

During her Top 4 performance on Sunday, Bishop and her mentor, FINNEAS, worked together to get her ready for a cover song from his sister, Billie Eilish. Bishop once again delivered an outstanding performance as she gave her take on Billie’s song “Wish You Were Gay.”

“You just crushed every aspect of that whole thing,” Luke Bryan said following her performance. “In my opinion it was your best; it was the perfect song to choose and seeing you have so much fun with FINNEAS."

“I mean, you found your stardust and you’re rolling around in it,” Katy Perry added. “You found that instant identity. You look up to Billie Eilish, but whether or not you win American Idol, you are going to be your next hero.”

Shockingly, Bishop’s run came to an end this past Sunday night as she was left out of the Top 3.

Next week’s finale will see Chayce Beckham, Willie Spence, and Grace Kintsler duke it out for the American Idol crown. The season finale is set to see a star-studded list of performances from the likes of Luke Combs, Macklemore, Mickey Guyton, Sheryl Crow, Lindsey Buckingham, Alessia Cara, Chaka Khan, Fall Out Boy, and all three judges.
