That loud sound you may have just heard was cheers from every dorm room in the nation.
Surrounding the enormous munchies-time favorite cracker is ground beef, sour cream, tomatoes, lettuce, and cheddar cheese, all layered on top of that familiar crunch of the regular Tostada. All for only $2.49.
As the company’s release says, the “Big Cheez-It Tostada” is an “abundantly cheesy and nostalgic, yet magically modern, dining experience.”
Along with the Tostada, the fast food giant is testing out a “Big Cheez-It Crunchwrap Supreme,” which replaces the internal tostada shell with the giant Cheez-It. That goes for $4.29.
But before you go grabbing your car keys, the new items are only available at one location in Irvine, CA, and for only the next two weeks.
We’ll see how it goes, if the items are a success they may get rolled out to wider markets.
As CNN noted, Taco Bell’s mashup with Doritos and its taco shells quickly became a fast food staple after its 2012 debut, and sold over 500 million within about a year of its launch.
