Another recent Houston Texans draft pick is already gone from the team.

Second-year cornerback John Reid, who Bill O'Brien drafted out of Penn State last year in the fourth round, was traded by the Texans to the Seattle Seahawks for a conditional seventh-round draft choice.

The Texans only get the pick if Reid remains on Seattle's team.

Reid played in 13 games for the Texans in his rookie season, starting the season-opener at Kansas City.

In playing just 13 percent of the Texans' defensive snaps last year, Reid recorded only one pass defended. Reid struggled in coverage during his limited action, giving up completions more than 72 percent of the time he was targeted, according to Pro Football Reference.

Earlier Monday, Aaron Wilson reported the Texans traded a 2022 seventh-round draft pick to Green Bay Packers for cornerback Ka'Dar Hollman.

The Texans traded cornerback and special teamer Keion Crossen to the New York Giants last week.

Bradley Roby and Terrance Mitchell project to be the Texans' top corners, with Desmond King II playing mostly slot corner. Also competing at that position are Vernon Hargreaves III, Tremon Smith and Tavierre Thomas.

Reid becomes the second player from the Texans' 2020 draft class to part ways with the team since camp, and the third player from their last two draft classes before this year.

Wide receiver Isaiah Coulter, drafted in the fifth round last year, was released by Houston last week.

Tight end Kahale Warring, a 2019 third-round pick by the Texans, was officially released by the team Monday.
