Casey Bishop continues to make a strong case for why she should be this season’s winner on American Idol. On the latest episode, Bishop issued a challenge. Try not to cry.

OK, maybe she didn’t literally issue a challenge, but seriously, watch her performance and try not to have your emotions stirred up. The 16-year-old is already an American Idol phenom as Luke Bryan has already claimed she should be “the damn winner.”
Bishop’s Disney Week Performance saw the singer give an incredible rendition of the song “When She Loved Me” from Toy Story 2.
“Casey, your vocals will take you to infinity and beyond!” Katy Perry, who was appropriately dressed as a fairy, told Bishop following her performance.
“You’ve been showing us so many different colors of who you are as an artist, who you can be, how you can sing, how you can deliver. I mean, just a few weeks ago, you were a rock ‘n’ roll girl, and now you’re like sophisticated, elegant, like grace on stage.”
“I love that you can do almost anything,” Perry added. “Actually, you can do anything. You just have to believe!”

Luke Bryan continues to be beyond impressed by Bishop. “I don’t know if I’ve had chill bumps like that in four years of doing this show,” he told her. “It was truly remarkable to watch. I loved every second of it.”
Bryan also called Bishop “a superstar in the making.”
Lionel Richie praised Bishop’s stage presence and her ability to command attention from the audience. “It’s one of those things where we can talk to you and coach you about vocals and stuff,” he said, “but stage presence, poise and delivery is something you have to naturally have. And you demonstrated tonight, my dear.”
Bishop’s performance was rewarded as she was voted into the Top 7.
